Setting Up a Company

Joint-stock company (public or private)
Number of partners: A minimum of 2 shareholders. For closed joint-stock companies, there is a maximum of 50 shareholders. For open joint-stock companies, there is no limit of shareholders.
Capital (max/min): The minimum size of the authorized capital for joint stock companies is 400 base amounts.
For closed corporations - 100 base amounts.
Shareholders and liability: Liability is limited to the shares.
Limited Liability Company
Number of partners: A minimum of 1 and a maximum of 50 founders.
Capital (max/min): No minimum capital required.
Shareholders and liability: Liability is limited to the amount contributed.
Sole proprietorship
Number of partners: 1 (an individual or a legal entity).
Capital (max/min): No minimum capital required.
Shareholders and liability: Liability is unlimited.

Minimum Wage
In 2021, the minimum wage is BYR 400 per month according to the Belarusian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
Average Wage
In 2021, the average monthly gross salary was 1,290 BYR according to the data of the National Committee of Statistics of Belarus.
Social Contributions
Social Security Contributions Paid By Employers: 34% of the gross salary, but not more than five times the average monthly gross salary.
Social Security Contributions Paid By Employees: 1%
