Numerous monuments and masterpieces of the Ancient era and Middle Ages can be found throughout the country. Many of the most interesting sights in the country are associated with the heritage of the Armenian apostolic church.

The monastery dates back to the 10th-13th centuries. Other monasteries to be spotted are Khor Virap, Saint Gregory the Illuminator. Armenia is one of the great places for religious tourism.
