Process for complying:

1. Submit letter of application to Director of NPCS.

2. After site visit and approval of application, fill up attached form and see conditions for a. Individual b. Pet traders c. Breeder.

3. Apply for import permit from the Division of Veterinary Services. (See attached form).

< than 15 days

Cost estimate to get compliance:

Exotic wildlife - Rs. 50.00

Prescribed wildlife - Rs.300.00 per consignment

For Pet traders - 5.00 USD per live bird imported

For caged birds - Rs.100.00 for every 10 birds or less.

Other live animals - Rs. 200.00 per animal

Clearance fee at port of entry - Rs.500.00 per consignment.

Quarantine fee - Rs.15.00 per day
