The process in order to get compliance

Process for complying:

Application made on prescribed form.
Application processed and submitted to Import Permit Committee after taking into consideration disease situation in exporting country to ascertain food security.

Average time to get compliance:
< 15 days
Cost estimate to get compliance:

Horses - Rs. 1000 per animal
Cats & Dogs - Rs. 500
Cage birds - Rs. 100 for every 10 birds
Other live anmials - Rs. 200
Veterinary Clearance - Rs. 500

Once I have it, what do I have to do:

Veterinary Officer verifies documents (Import Permit & Export Health Certificate) and Inspect Animals / Consignment of Animal Origin products.

Validity of the compliance:
6 months
Required Documents to process:

The export health certificate must be signed and stamped by Official Veterinary Services of exporting country.
