Health Clearance given after inspection at port of entry. The product to be imported should comply with Food Regulation 3 to 14 & Food Regulation 384 to 407 & Food Regulations 342 to 367.
The permit is issued immediately after ensuring that the standards mentioned in the certificate required at the time of application complies with the Food Act and its regulations. (within 24 hrs.)
Clearance of Imported Consignment at Port of Entry.
Health Clearance from the Ministry of Health to be forwarded to Mauritius Revenue Authority to authorize delivery from customs/bonds.
The application for a Health clearance is made electronically through the Customs Network System on every consignment at time of import.
