The process in order to get compliance

Process for complying:

Application for Registration as Dealer [for Company, Society or Corporate Body]
(a) Documents (Original) to be submitted
(i) Certificate of incorporation or registration of the company, Society, or corporate body;
(ii) Business Registration Card issued under Section 14 of the Business Registration Act 2002 to deal in jewellery;
(iii) Trade Fee Receipt issued by the Local Authority  to deal in jewellery; and
(iv) Memorandum of Articles from Registrar of Companies.

Application for Registration as Dealer [for Individual]
(a) Documents (Original) to be submitted
(i) Birth Certificate;
(ii) Identity Card;
(iii) Business Registration Card issued under Section 14 of the Business
Registration Act 2002  to deal in jewellery; and
(iv) Trade  Fee Receipt issued by the Local Authority  to deal in jewellery

Dealing in jewellery, precious or semi-precious stones, except exports of melted precious metal, scrap precious metal and second hand jewellery (excluding industrial waste generated by manufacturers of jewellery):    Rs.3,000

Dealing in jewellery, precious or semi-precious stones, including exports of melted precious metal, scrap precious metal and second hand jewellery (excluding industrial waste generated by manufacturers of jewellery):  Rs.150,000

 

Once I have it, what do I have to do:

Customs will verify the certificate of registration as dealer before delivering the goods.

 

Validity of the compliance:
Validity of registration is up to 3 years. All registration will expire on February 20th, 2015.
