The process in order to get compliance

Process for complying:
  • Valid Dealer's Licence for commercial purposes
  • Clearance must be obtained prior to importation and customs Clearance
  • Type approval Certificate of equipment as may be required (refer to Clearance to import ICT Equipment Guidelines)
  • Licence authorizing the use of the same equipment as may be appropriate (refer to Information and Communication Technologies (Licensing and Fees) Regulations 2003)

2 Working days to grant a clearance to import after a complete application is received.

For Dealer's Licence:


Non Refundable Application processing fee - Rs 2,000 & Annual Licence fee - Rs 5,000
For clearance / type approval, there is no prescribed fee as at date

Once I have it, what do I have to do:

Quote the ICT Authority Ticket Number for verification at Customs.

Validity of the compliance:
5 years for Dealer's Licence. Clearance is valid for single consignment.
