(EXPORT OF FISH & FISH PRODUCTS)
The “Fisheries and Marine Resources Export of (Fish and Fish Products) Regulations 2009” and the Export of Fish and Fish products (Amendment) Regulations 2012 are technical regulations that regulate export of fish and fish products in Mauritius. The regulations provide for registration of exporters, payment of auditing fees, inspection of establishments and products intended for export, sampling and testing, health certification and compliance to EU and other international Standards.

The person should apply to the Import/Export Unit for authorization to export fish and fish products (to provide details on the intended export activities); •Based on policy issues and International requirements, an export authorization is issued within 3 to 4 days; and •The person should also apply for registration to the Competent Authority (CA); •Auditing and approval of the establishment to export by the CA;
One off Registration fee of Rs 40,000 to the Competent Authority (CA) and annual registration fee Rs 1,000
Seek approval of the CA and then proceed with production process.
Prior to export any consignment of fish and fish product, a Health Certificate issued by Competent Authority is required and is subject to a fee of Rs 500 per certificate.
